symptoms of colon cancer

What are the symptons of colon cancer? Symptons that you need to be tested for colorectal cancer can include a feeling of bloating or fullness, diarrhea or constipation, black, tarry stools, nausea, or simply a change in bowel habits. While blood in the stool can be a warning sign of colorectal cancer, it is often present in such small amounts at the early stages that it cannot be detected by eye. This is the reason for the growing popularity of the EZ Detect Fecal Occult Blood test.

In their early stages, gastrointestinal disorders such as cancer, ulcers, polyps, colitis, diverticulitis and fissures may not show any visible symptoms, even though they may be producing blood hidden in the stool. EZ DETECT™ can detect this unseen (occult) blood and thereby serve as an early warning signal of bowel trouble possibly needing medical attention. Most bleeding disorders, including colon cancer, are curable if detected and treated early.

The presence of blood in the stool is one of the earliest symptoms of many lower gastrointestinal disorders including colorectal cancer. With early detection, colorectal cancer may be successfully treated with survival rates as high as 87%. EZ DETECT™ is effective in identifying the presence of occult (hidden) blood in the stool caused by bleeding in the colorectal area. Once hidden blood is detected, a medical check-up is recommended. The EZ DETECT™ stool blood test provides the public a simple, cost-effective, and convenient test that can be done in the privacy of the home.
